The Membership & Mixers Committee

The Membership & Mixers (M&Ms) Committee increases ATXtheatre.org site membership; improves Industry Relations by planning monthly gatherings for theatre-makers; and works with Fundraising to plan gatherings for theatre-lovers & theatre-makers to mingle.

MEMBERS: Cecelia Gay, April Hudson, Sharron Anderson

- Membership Growth Goal: 800 by 6/22;
  1000 by 12/22
  - SM Ads: M&M collaborates with Communications to create ads to spur joining.
  - Sharing: Viral growth happens when board members share posts/ask others to share.
  - Creative/relational mem. growth works!*
- Industry Relations: M&M hosts monthly mixers for theatre people at various locations (including theatre spaces so members get more familiar with each), scheduled on the same night as producer ConFabs (just one outing for producers). Collaborate w/ ConFab to structure and Communications to publicize who/what/when/where/why via WS/SM/EB + targeted email + NEW ways to increase attendance.)
- Audience Relations: M&M hosts two to four audience+
  theatre people mixers/year to include sponsors, friends, audiences, and theatre people — with luscious sample performances/entertainment, food, drink, guest? (Coordinates w/ Fundraising* to structure & Communications to publicize via WS/SM/EB + targeted email + NEW ways to increase attendance)

*Book clubs! Still-local theatre alumni lists from UT/St. Ed’s? Societies/groups with artistic bents? Condos/apartments? Sun City and other retirement communities? Concierges/hoteliers through VisitAustin? Ads in eblasts to museums members/flyers in gift shop bags there? Ads in chamber music & symphony programs/eblasts to their members? Ads in opera programs/eblasts to their lists? Ads in ballet programs/eblasts to their lists? Ads in theatre programs/eblasts to their lists??
